The project, UCSI Hotel is a 4-star business class hotel situated on the bank of the tranquil Sarawak River, at Isthmus. The hotel incorporated the faculty of Tourism & Hospitality within the building that caters up to 500 students.
The project involved construction and completion of 15 storeys reinforced concrete building with a total build up area of 300,000 SF, which consists of two-hundred rooms, three kitchens, seven classrooms, 293 carparks, one café, one ballroom, four function rooms, one swimming pool, one gym, one sky lounge and one executive lounge.
It is also a GBI (Green Building Index) certified building incorporating innovative green features such as:
∙ Naturally ventilated lobby aided by wind funnels
∙ Rain water harvesting for landscape water features
∙ “New ground floor” – roof deck landscape garden for wedding & events
∙ Utilization of water from the river for cooling purposes
