This project is for an 100MLD extension to the existing Bintulu water treatment plant. The scope of the project includes:
i) A river gate across Sg. Sebiew to raise water level during low flow period.
ii) A new river bank intake catering for 200MLD capacity.
iii) A new jetty type of intake within existing Sika Reservoir, an old river storage reservoir.
iv) Treatment plant using Dissolved Air Filtration (DAF) process.
v) Other ancillary structures and facilities including clear water tank, pump station and chemical house.
vi) 7 ML elevated Reinforced Concrete Balancing Reservoir.
